Children's Ministry
exists
to…
-
REACH children
through the freedom of God’s love,
-
DEVELOP their life
through small groups, and
-
GUIDE them on their
journey to discover the plans God has for them.
…
love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind
… and love your neighbor as
yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
We want every child
who participates in
KidZone to have a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ and grow up to say:
-
I know how to make the
Wise choices
-
I can Trust God no
matter what
-
I Treat Others the
way I want to be treated
Our
Strategy for Ministry
REACH
children through the freedom of God’s love,
DEVELOP their life through small groups, and
GUIDE them on their journey to discover the plans God
has for them.
REACH (Evangelize)
In reaching children for Christ there would be an
increase in a one on one approach to the gospel toward those
who are 3rd grade and older. The 252 Basics curriculum
covers the plan of salvation throughout the year to include
some 5th Sundays. There is a vision to present the gospel in
a community wide outreach (event driven) to children and
their parents. We also will be taking advantage of VBS and
camp in the summer.
DEVELOP (Disciple)
252 Basics Small Group materials are created with the
development of the individual child in mind as well as the
development of the small group. This is done through
activities and discussions of the current month’s core
value, which is broken down by the Bible story of the day.
This is done through an applicable approach to developing
each child’s relationship with Christ, their families, and
their friends.
GUIDE (Multiply)
In the guide approach to ministry, here again, we tap
into the small groups of the ministry and encourage our
children to reach out to those around them. Scripture says
to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and
mind…to love your neighbor as yourself. In this approach we
want our children to experience loving their neighbor. This
will be done throughout the year during activities we
provide for our children; whether it is VBS, camps, trips,
small group get together, or even family events created
specifically for families.
